The petroglyph experience was absolutely magical. I deeply appreciated the care and intentionality woven throughout the day, with spacious, meditative moments that invited real presence. One of the most exhilarating parts was spontaneously pulling off the side of the road on the way to the main site and bushwhacking our way to hidden petroglyphs, true gems you’d never find on your own.
I don’t want to give away too much, but the swimming is a major highlight and not to be missed. Juanpa and Ara are warm, knowledgeable, and deeply caring guides who clearly hold this land and its stories with respect. I highly recommend this experience for anyone seeking to get off the beaten path and connect with something ancient, alive, and truly special. Don’t miss it.
I have visited this beautiful site on my own twice but the experience with Juanpa y Ara was truly magical. We had a beautiful prayer as a group on the way in and felt held during our ritual.
